Kids can come to Peoria Nazarene Church on Sunday mornings to have fun, make friends, and learn to follow Jesus and discover his will for their lives.
We are honored to be entrusted with your kids and believe that their environment should not only be fun and inviting, but also safe and secure. All of our volunteers have gone through a background check, are trained to provide safe environments, and are passionately committed to helping kids know and follow Jesus.
If you are planning on visiting us…
- On your first visit, come to the Welcome Center Desk located just outside of the sanctuary. Helpful volunteers will be at the desk ready to assist. You can download our Kids Worship Guest Registration Form and bring it with you – or just fill one out when you arrive. Please allow a few extra minutes before the service time to arrive and register.
- You and your child(ren) will receive temporary tags/parent card for the morning. The parent card is our way of assuring your child’s safety during dismissal. Make sure you bring it with you.
- On your second visit, you can check-in your child(ren) yourself using the computer in the back of the sanctuary, or at the welcome center a volunteer will be glad to assist you.
Age Appropriate Environments
- Nursery (0 to 2 years) Leaders engage infants with singing and simple Bible stories. Toddlers participate in singing, a Bible story, and other activities.
- Toddlers (2 and 3 years) Toddlers learn about Jesus, have fun, make friends, and participate in singing and activities.
- Pre-K/Kindergarten Children learn to follow Jesus, pray for each other, learn Bible verses, sing, and participate in fun activities.
- Elementary (1st-5th grade) Elementary Children are led in worship and teaching that is creative and engaging. Each month Children focus on a different theme that teaches how to follow Jesus and discover his will for their lives. Kids have fun, pray for each other, and make friends.

- Be Safe – All workers are screened, background checked, and trained to provide safe environments for Children to learn about who Jesus is and follow him. We follow the policy of having two adults present in all areas and provide safety and security training for all of our volunteers for all of our ministry areas and events.
- Have Fun – Our goal is to make our Children’s Ministry something that children look forward to each week. We believe that learning is enhanced in a positive and fun environment.
- Make Friends – Our programming and events are designed to help children develop strong relationships with peers and adults who encourage them to follow Jesus.
- Follow Jesus – We want every child to know Jesus personally as Savior and Lord, and discover who God is and what His will is for their lives.
